Thank You Lord for Witness Lee
Ecclesiastes 3:11 says ...God has set eternity in the heart of man (N.A.S.). This eternity is just God Himself because only God is eternal (Isaiah 9:6). Why did God put eternity in man's heart? Why is there a yearning for eternity within man? I grew up in a traditional Buddhist Family. When my grandmother died, she was buried according to the Buddhist tradition. The entire ceremony left me with a horrified impression of death and its cruelty and powerfulness, and I was asking myself where do people go after they die, and what is the purpose of human existence, since we all have to die sooner or later? This experience motivated me to look for answers. I read much Eastern and Western philosophy and I studied Chinese mysticism. None of these could give me an answer! I was desperate to the point of hoping maybe those aliens in UFOs (unidentified flying objects) could give me answers.
After so many years of searching and wondering I found the answer! How can I not be thankful to the Lord for Witness Lee? His ministry led me to know the meaning of my human life and the purpose of my human existence. How did I know his was the right answer? The `eternity' within me echoed in agreement to what he said. I wasn't even a Christian at that time, but I knew that I'd found the answer. I was satisfied beyond words.
Genesis 1:26 tells us that man was created according to God's image and after His likeness so that we may represent and express God. Before Witness Lee shared on this verse, I didn't realize this. Everything Witness Lee said was according to the Bible and it all makes sense to me. I am not blindly following a man, I am enjoying an opened up Bible (Acts 8:31), an unveiled mystery (Colossians 1:26-27), the intention of God's will (Ephesians 1:9) and God's administration (verse 10). The truth that is in Witness Lee's ministry is high, rich and complete because he was standing on the shoulders of Watchman Nee and many spiritual fathers before him.
Witness Lee also taught me to enjoy the Lord. The Bible is so profound and rich; however, it's not only for me to study but it's also for me to enjoy (2 Corinthians 3:6; 13:14) I'm not just a Christian with outward knowledge of the Bible; I'm a Christian with the inward reality of all the riches in the Bible. I thank God for placing me here.
